Directions to Gibson 42, the “Boat of Knowledge,” currently at Marietta Harbor

This Mapquest PDF will bring you to the main entrance to Marietta Harbor where there is limited parking.

After turning onto Front Street from the Putnam Street Bridge, you will pass the post office and enter the parking lot just after the next building on the right, the Ohio National Guard.  The Muskingum River is just beyond the far end of the parking lot so that’s the best place to park.

There is a bike path running along the river at this point.  Proceed to the right on the path and you will shortly come to a long gangway.  This leads to our dock.  The Gibson Houseboat, a.k.a. the “Boat of Knowledge,” is readily visible!

If you proceed to the left on the bike path, this will bring you to the Marietta Harbor building where there are restrooms.
